Job Description
The Opportunity:
Critical decisions are made every single day in our government. What if you could use your skills to help them make informed decisions? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. As a Sanctions Economics Analyst, you use your specialized technical and functional expertise, and your attention to detail to develop insights, understanding, recommendations, and reports to give your client the actionable information and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to protect our national security and inform our nation's leaders.
As a Sanctions Economics Analyst on our team, you will leverage your understanding of international money laundering, threat finance, sanctions evasion, corruption, kleptocracy, and other illicit finance typologies to guide our clients’ assessment of the impact and effectiveness of economic sanctions programs. You will evaluate proposed strategies, develop economic impact assessment and data analysis processes, and contribute to assessments to communicate the potential impacts of financial and trade sanctions to senior policymakers. To provide valuable economic impact insights, you will build economic models, identify appropriate government and non-government datasets, run statistical analyses, and serve as a subject matter expert on the economic impacts of financial and trade sanctions. You will also engage with government and private sector stakeholders, collaborate with Federal agencies, and work alongside fellow economists, Federal government attorneys, and senior client leadership to understand unique perspectives and communicate your specialized expertise.
As the authority in your area of expertise, your client will look to you for critical expertise in critical areas impacting the safety and stability of the U.S. financial system. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new skills in data analytics, research and analysis, analytical writing, briefing senior decision makers, share your methodologies with peers, and work throughout the interagency environment to address illicit finance risks to the United States.
We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you will have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools. Join us as we provide the right information at the right time to support the critical needs of our nation’s leaders and policymakers.
Join us. The world can't wait.
