Anti-Tamper Systems Security Engineer

Key Role:

Apply Anti-Tamper (AT) techniques to encompass the systems engineering activities intended to deter, delay, prevent, and respond to the exploitation of Critical Program Information for secure systems. Develop AT techniques to protect critical technologies. Use technology that will add longevity to critical technologies against efforts to reverse engineer a system or system component. Apply experience to protect platforms, systems, subsystems, advanced sensor electronic hardware, generic electronic complex software, signature control, or access detection systems. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Technology Protection and AT support
  • Ability to lead Technology Protection and AT activities throughout the System Development Lifecycle on DoD systems, following AT process and procedure, to obtain Anti-Tamper Executive Agent (ATEA) approval letters
  • Ability to define, communicate, and support implementation of AT solutions on DoD environments, systems, and support equipment
  • Ability to support AT solutioning that aligns with DoD and AT requirements
  • Ability to work closely with cybersecurity engineering on security controls and security features to support and address Technology Protection challenges
  • Ability to apply consulting and technical expertise, including DoD AT solution tailoring
  • Ability to apply technical and industry expertise to programs and projects
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision within established procedures and practices
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Physics, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) support or Cyber Systems Engineering
  • Experience with creating required plans for successful execution of DoD defense acquisition programs, including Program Protection and AT in accordance with DoDI 5000.02
  • Experience with working across organizational boundaries and leading teams to evaluate the consequence of compromising Critical Program Information (CPI)
  • Experience with applying systems engineering expertise to define the defense-in-depth approach that best protects the system’s critical technology
  • Experience with creating technical plans, and creating and contributing to technical trade studies
  • Experience with obtaining ATEA approval letters for DoD systems
  • Knowledge of writing systems-level requirements for architecture and design while supporting requirements verification and systems integration testing
  • Ability to collaborate directly with government customers to create policy and process, and implement appropriate tools for architecting, modeling, and designing system security countermeasures with AT techniques and technologies that defend against adversary attacks
  • Ability to develop or support innovative solutions to complex problems
  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
