The Opportunity: 

The Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) is an assembly of federated, interoperable common training capabilities enabling full-spectrum joint training from individual competencies to team, unit, group, and force training, exercises, tactics, technics, and procedures (TTP) development, and mission rehearsal to enable the CMF and DoD cyberspace workforce to achieve operational readiness. The ideal candidate will work with a team of professionals responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive program applications that enhances the PCTE infrastructure and platform capabilities, and ensures optimal performance, security, and availability of the platform as well as DoD oversite and governance.  

As a Technology Specialist, you’ll have a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Further, you will need to apply specific functional knowledge, including working or general industry knowledge, and develop or contribute to solutions of a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to platform users during and after force training, exercises, TTP development, or mission rehearsals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on IT tools and technologies, offering consultation and advice on best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT and training technologies to keep the PCTE platform relevant and cutting-edge.
  • Analyze training data and feedback to identify platform usage trends, areas for improvement, and successes.
  • Prepare reports, executive summaries, and PowerPoint presentations on PCTE activities and outcomes for USCYBERCOM senior leadership.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Specialist
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, and cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with training technologies such as e-learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Experience in capabilities development
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software, and tools
  • Possession of excellent detail-oriented and organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
