Program Management Office Lead

The Opportunity: 

An effective Program Management Office requires a manager who is passionate about guiding it through the complexities of its lifecycle. It requires someone who is dedicated to identifying challenges, mitigating risks, and supporting a team with vision and focus. That’s why we need you, a seasoned program manager who can ensure our sub account and its key contracts are run effectively, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality, while guiding our people to ensure our program achieves success.

As a lead program manager on our team, you’ll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding a program management team across multiple projects and contracts. Our client’s contractor officers will trust you to organize and coordinate program objectives, while your team will look to you for direction as they navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges. As an authority on the account, you’ll identify opportunities to grow the business by supporting your client’s mission. You’ll also broaden your expertise in problem management, strategic planning, reviewing contracts, and more. This is your chance to impact the Program Management Office while sharing your knowledge and expertise of program management methodologies.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management

  • 3+ years of experience leading a PMO or enterprise-level programs

  • Experience with continuous improvement

  • Experience leading, mentoring, and evaluating program and project management staff

  • Ability to manage large, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to establish and enforce PMO standards, policies, controls, and performance metrics aligned with program objectives

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive on-time delivery across multiple programs

  • Ability to manage and track financials and budgets, and manage associated risks

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance in program documentation, reporting, and deliverables driving to delivery excellence

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in program and project management within a government or public sector environment

  • Experience with government-approved project management and reporting tools, such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or SharePoint

  • Knowledge of government governance, compliance, and oversight requirements, such as GAO, OMB, FAR, and state or local regulatory frameworks

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing skills

  • Possession of excellent time-management and prioritization skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Law or a related field preferred; Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent a plus

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
