Job Description
The Opportunity:
You’ll engineer and sustain the collaboration ecosystems that keep mission teams communicating across secure, distributed environments. From VoIP call flows to enterprise video conferencing, and SIP trunks to QoS tuning, you’ll ensure that every conversation, meeting, and message happens reliably, no matter the classification level or operational tempo.
You’ll architect and optimize voice and collaboration solutions that integrate seamlessly with secure networks, wireless infrastructures, and mission applications. You’ll modernize legacy unified communications (UC) platforms, improve call quality and resiliency, and build the high-availability frameworks that keep voice and video online for users who can’t afford downtime. Every call connected, every conference stabilized, every secure voice path delivered—your work keeps teams aligned and missions moving.
What You’ll Do:
- Engineer and maintain enterprise VoIP and UC environments such as Cisco CUCM, Unity, Expressway, Jabber or Webex, and Cisco or Ribbon SBCs.
- Design and optimize SIP call routing, dial plans, trunks, and voice gateways across classified and unclassified networks.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving QoS, call signaling, codec negotiation, jitter or latency, and media path analysis.
- Deploy and support secure collaboration solutions, including video conferencing, softphone platforms, and on-prem or cloud hybrid UC systems.
- Integrate UC platforms with identity services, directory systems, messaging platforms, and network segmentation.
- Maintain and tune voice and video quality across LAN or WAN architectures in alignment with mission requirements.
- Support expansion, migration, or modernization of UC clusters and assist with high-availability and disaster recovery designs.
- Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to maintain secure, compliant, and resilient collaboration environments.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with engineering or supporting VoIP, UC, or collaboration systems in enterprise or mission environments
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco UC technologies such as CUCM, CUC, SIP trunks, voice gateways, Expressway, or Webex
- Experience designing or supporting dial plans, call routing, numbering plans, and SIP or SCCP endpoints
- Experience resolving issues involving QoS, packet loss, jitter, codec selection, and media path troubleshooting
- Experience with network fundamentals such as VLANs, routing, DHCP options, or ACLs, affecting voice and video performance
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including STIGs and encryption controls affecting UC systems
- Ability to interpret logs, CDRs, traces, and packet captures using tools such as RTMT and Wireshark
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience deploying or managing Microsoft Teams Voice, Direct Routing, or hybrid collaboration environments
- Experience with Session Border Controllers such as Cisco CUBE, Ribbon, or Audiocodes, or E-911 environments
- Experience with wireless QoS, voice roaming optimization, and integration with Cisco or Aruba WLANs
- Experience with automation or scripting for UC tasks, including Python, Ansible, or REST APIs
- Knowledge of Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco TelePresence, or other enterprise video solutions
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, or a related field
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration, Collaboration Core (CLCOR), or Collaboration Applications (CLICA) Certifications
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
