The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in system security engineering to safeguard our nation? As a systems security engineer, you can identify what is needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to oversee the development and implementation of security solutions that will help protect client system infrastructure.
On our team, you’ll supervise a team as they troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of system security engineering best practices and knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Using your expertise in system security engineering, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.
In this role, you’ll directly impact a variety of client mission areas by supporting a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) client organization with the development and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Information Security (IS) program and assisting with the development of information security policy. You’ll apply your vast knowledge to enterprise-wide problems across a myriad of mission areas. The role involves daily senior level engagement with various mission leads and systems owners regarding system security architecture through various technical working groups.

What You’ll Work On:
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
- Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, and leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
- 8+ years of experience as an ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM
- Experience with requirements gathering and analysis, and client and stakeholder engagement through working groups and technical exchange meetings
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)
- Knowledge of system or security architecture
- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment in an Enterprise-level organization
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with systems engineering
- Knowledge of the RMF process and NIST 800-53 security controls
- Knowledge of a national agency’s corporate systems and their implementation of security controls
- Ability to select 800-53 security controls and apply them to a system
- Ability to assess residual risk based on threat and security control implementation
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
