Operations Research and Systems Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Combines operational experience with technical expertise using a wide variety of traditional and emerging analytic tools and techniques to underpin and enable leadership decisions in a constantly changing global environment. Introduces quantitative and qualitative analysis, data analytics, and data science to the military’s decision making and institutional processes by developing and applying probability models, statistical inference, simulations, optimization, data analysis, and data visualization. Encompasses diverse disciplines that include personnel management, doctrine and force development, training management, system testing, system acquisition, decision analysis, and resource management, as well as tactical, operational and strategic planning from division through combatant command, and from Army Command through the highest levels of the Department of Defense

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an ORSA, including supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) within the Department of Defense

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access

  • Knowledge of military training and operations

  • Ability to develop and present analytical products and presentations for senior military officials

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Army Operations Research or Systems Analysis Functional Area 49

  • Experience with Army Training management and resourcing

  • Experience managing an Army Program Evaluation Group

  • Experience as a military or civilian ORSA action officer on the Army Staff

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science, or Statistics

  • Graduate of Command and General Staff College or equivalent

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
