F-35 Pilot Training Systems Engineer

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape F-35 capability and readiness by leading site preparation for integration of global 5th Generation pilot training simulators and sustainment capabilities worldwide. Your customer will trust you to not only design and plan implementation of these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You will perform site activation for U.S. and Partner countries by providing senior systems engineering expertise for site activation, site-specific activation planning, integration analysis, and certification for Pilot Training Device site locations. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like model-based system engineering and high-end capability development and acquisition. You Have: 

  • 10 years of experience in an engineering or technical role

  • Knowledge of civil engineering and construction management as applied to military sites or training simulator facilities

  • Knowledge of DoD system acquisition and program management sufficient to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of facilities implementation and site activation

  • Knowledge of engineering principles as related to facilities design as it applies to support the requirements development and planning for large MILCON projects for projects that support the construction of training and simulation facilities 

  • Knowledge of the systems engineering process and the relationship to concept formulation, contract definition, VV&A, and acceptance testing

  • Knowledge of a wide range of non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, joint military and commercial standards, joint service policies, directives, and instructions and determine the applicability of these documents to assignments

  • Ability to gather and analyze a variety of information, make judgments concerning program progress, and communicate recommendations effectively, including orally and in writing to management and clients

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with site activation for military aircraft or training systems

  • Experience with developing or reviewing Site Activation Management Plans, Weapons System Planning Documents, and Bed Down Plans

  • Experience with site planning, site surveys, site activation, and facility design

  • Knowledge of training and simulation facilities, fighter pilot training systems, training simulator systems, Fifth-Generation Fighter systems, or aircraft maintenance systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
