Project Control Analyst, Lead

Key Role:  

Serve as the Finance Lead of large and complex programs or Program Management Office (PMO). Manage small team of Project Control Analysts. Provide a thorough understanding of program requirements. Anticipate and respond to customer needs and serve as a primary point of contact for customers and clients, recommend and develop techniques for estimating parameters for proposals, and analyze the preparation and management of budgets and the authorization of budget expenditures. Initiate subcontract and intercompany purchase requests, monitor corresponding expenses, perform program level and task order level financial management duties, provide reporting and contract analysis support, and monitor risk mitigation activities. Participate in statement of work reviews for contract terms and conditions and review of monthly invoice and financial deliverable submissions. Manage all contract financial activities regarding the project cost schedule to ensure maximum financial health and full contract compliance, including monthly status reports, expense and invoice review and approvals, and auditing of contract financials. Provide analysis and recommendations based on the results of financial program management reviews. Complete estimates at completion to include estimated business performance metrics at the end of period of performance, including profit, cash flow, and risk identifiers. Prepare and manage contract deliverables and respond to contract and program data calls. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience with managing analysts

  • 2+ years of experience with leading complex programs or contracts

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including macros and advanced formulas and their use in a financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environment

  • Ability to identify, research, discuss, and resolve administrative and financial issues independently and as part of a team, set priorities that balance service and control, and manage and track multiple initiatives

  • Ability to be a team player, work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements 

  • Ability to accomplish financial forecasts based on bottoms-up analysis and historical trends and to think analytically and conduct trend analysis

  • HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with government financial management or in a government financial program control environment, Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience with government financial management or in a government financial program control environment, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with government financial management or in a government financial program control environment

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with FEDSIM financial contract management

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, federal budget process, and funds management

  • Possession of excellent leadership skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Project Management Professional, Certified Defense Financial Manager, Certified Government Financial Manager, or related Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
