Machine Learning Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a seasoned data professional, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. We need your technical expertise to support end-to-end AI solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

As a lead machine learning engineer you will develop fully-realized applications with AI-based solutions that will enable to the discovery, extraction and enrichment of text and image data. You will vet AI models and develop APIs for persistent inference in full-stack applications and to enrich data pipelines. You will also lead statistical analyses on business processes to report KPIs to iterate upon a customer-focused solution.

In this role, you’ll lead the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and introducing leading-edge technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of machine learning engineers across the firm and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver world class solutions to address the challenges of integrating, evolving, and rapidly scaling new and emerging AI capabilities. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with developing platform-agnostic AI solutions

  • 3+ years of experience with implementing, testing, and fielding automation for artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions

  • Experience with API development in Python, R, or Java

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain or OpenCV

  • Experience with containerization such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes and Helm

  • Experience facing clients as well as requirements gathering

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in Kanban and Agile development processes

  • Experience with Apache Spark and big data technologies

  • Experience with cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience with Git and collaboration tools, including Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Nexus, or Bitbucket

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
