Cloud Architect, Lead

The Opportunity: 

Everyone is trying to “harness the power of the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing and DevOps architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you’ll oversee our team of experts and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help evangelize and architect a multi-cloud solution helping support the DoD.

You’ll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in cloud to architect, build, and deliver multi-cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to lead, build, and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal Azure, AWS, OCI, and GCP labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client’s challenges, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver and scale the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications, building new ones from scratch, or leading continuous integration and deployment, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture with cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments

  • 5+ years of experience with leading multi-disciplinary solutioning for cloud-based efforts

  • Experience with leading architecture for large engagements, including legacy and cloud system deployments

  • Experience with end-to-end cloud solution architecture, design, and deployment

  • Experience with architecting and implementing highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant Cloud-based solutions and Cloud-based development  

  • Experience with leading DevOps teams and implementing automation tools and processes

  • Experience with providing technical guidance to other architects and engineers

  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions, network architecture, and security principles

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Possession of excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • CompTIA Sec+ Certification

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Certification, AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification, Google Cloud Architect Certification, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
