Budget Analyst

That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make sure Air Force and Space Force’s resources can make the most impact. 

As a Program and Budget Management Analyst, you’ll bring your consulting, analytical, and management expertise to work on projects for DoD cybersecurity clients. You’ll analyze budget data and cultivate stakeholder relationships to aid our clients in managing resources in the budgets of varied DoD components. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and functions related to PPBE oversight of DoD Services and Agencies.

Using your knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies, you’ll help your client develop well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, you’ll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with the project managers and team leads. This is your chance to work on high-level project while imparting your financial analysis expertise to your team.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a budget analyst and subject matter expert for command-wide programming, budget analysis, and day-to-day financial management operations of fiscal elements
  • Knowledge of programming, budgeting, funding, and redistributing for the appropriated budgets and assigned portions of the budget, including planning, programming, budgeting, and reporting for reimbursable funding
  • Knowledge of Defense Enterprise and Management System (DEAMS)
  • Ability to build, route, and execute financial documents in the DEAMS system
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with serving as a financial liaison between program and managers and other offices involved in mission execution
  • Knowledge of preparing both recurring and nonrecurring regulatory and non-regulatory resource management and cost reports for both higher headquarters and servicing directorate and garrisons
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition system
  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
