Satellite Ground Systems Engineer

You understand the National Security Space environment and how to develop the right systems for those missions. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.

As a Satellite Ground Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to design advanced ground systems in support of national security. Your technical expertise will be vital as you analyze system needs to develop appropriate ground system requirements, collaborate with Agile software development teams, define appropriate test plans, and integrate systems into the overall ground enterprise. You’ll develop your skills in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) while gaining experience in cloud-based and hybrid cloud or on-premise satellite ground systems.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience working as a systems engineer

  • Experience utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or other digital engineering tools to define, analyze, and maintain system baselines

  • Knowledge of the range of fundamental systems engineering processes, including architecture development and requirements management

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Knowledge of national security space systems, particularly ground systems

  • Knowledge of satellite system development, testing, and deployment to operations

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Master’s degree in Engineering

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
