Information Systems Security Engineer

Key Role:

Work with our DoD client and stakeholders to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. Review technical, environmental, and personnel details from project-specific subject-matter experts, decision makers, and leaders to assess the entire threat landscape. Guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience selecting, implementing, or validating security controls in an enterprise environment, compliant with the RMF on DoD systems 

  • Experience leading, communicating, and coordinating with multiple government groups, contractor partners, and program office representatives in the resolution of issues 

  • Experience with Cybersecurity requirements and policies and RMF or AF FastTrack processes 

  • Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), or information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) 

  • Experience performing ISSE duties outlined in DoDI 8500.01 and DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems and applications 

  • Experience assisting in the development and maintenance of security policies or evaluating assessment documentation and providing written recommendations for authorization

  • Knowledge of SCAP and STIG implementation 

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD 8140 Certification, including CISM or CISSP Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience developing automation scripts for your work 

  • Experience with SIEM tools

  • Experience with Cloud Computing Environments, such as AWS or Azure

  • Bachelor’s degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
