Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Subject Matter Expert, you will be working with the military services to ensure the authorized employment and termination of nuclear weapons operations, to secure against accidental, inadvertent, or unauthorized access, and to prevent the loss of control, theft, or unauthorized use of U.S. nuclear weapons. The fundamental requirements of NC3 are that it must be assured, timely, secure, survivable, and enduring in providing the information and communications necessary for our forces to make and communicate critical decisions throughout the crisis spectrum. NC3 assures the integrity of transmitted information and must be survivable to reliably overcome the threat actor targeting.

You use your skills to think bigger and push farther, solving complex problems. We’re looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

You’ll provide subject matter expertise to support strategic analysis and planning efforts for Joint NC3 operations. Your sharp communication and analysis skills help convey important details to inform senior-level decision-makers via background papers, briefings, and other analyses. You leverage your knowledge and experience to provide research and analysis of various national security policies, military strategies, vulnerability assessments, threat and intelligence assessments, integration of partner nation capabilities, as well as close coordination with other Service Components, research labs, industry, and Joint Staff. You’ll identify and manage areas of operational risk and concern, and developing tactics, techniques, and procedures for tactical and operational problems.

You Have: 

  • Experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3)

  • Ability to write briefings and whitepaper reports as a subject matter expert to present to senior leadership

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with military operations in Command, Control, and Communications (C3) or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or Information Security Systems

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in coordinating with other DoD entities, including the Joint Staff, Service Components, and non-DoD organizations

  • Experience with DoD Task Management System

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications sustainment and acquisitions programs

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
