Integrated Logistics Support Certification SME

The Opportunity:

As a logistics manager, you know that every program relies on clearly defined management processes to work. You understand enterprise asset management systems and Navy technical documents and know that using material support programs is critical to ensuring the integrity of the mission. We’re looking for a logistics engineer like you to apply your engineering and process improvement experience to develop tools for Navy system design, integration, and fleet alterations required for the installation of advanced C4I electronic systems. Using your skills in logistics support and system engineering, you’ll help coordinate all system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.

As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Certification SME on our surface ship modernization team, you’ll help identify the root cause of logistic issues, obsolescence concerns, and installation problems. You’ll use your findings to create a path forward that meets design requirements and ensures functionality. Your experience with complex integrated systems, Navy programs, and Navy maintenance systems is essential to ensuring quality when designing mission-critical solutions.

In this role, you’ll use your engineering logistics and materials knowledge to contribute to the safety of the warfighter. You’ll work closely with senior team members and grow your skills in root-cause analysis and process improvement resolution.

Use your curiosity and solution-oriented mindset to contribute to mission-critical integrated logistics support for Naval Surface Ships.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • Knowledge of ships installation drawings, supply support, configuration identifications such as Allowable Parts Lists (APLs), on-board support items, and maintenance assistance modules
  • Ability to work closely with program managers on a technical level and then translate that information into actionable capability decisions by the client organization, review the work of other engineers for accuracy and correctness, and lead and collaborate with mixed teams comprised of government and industry personnel
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Navy software systems such as Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Model Based Product Support (MBPS) program, Afloat Master Planning System (AMPS), and NDE-NM original FMP integration module
