Job Description
Key Role:
Serve as an industrial engineer in the public works branch in support of USMC as part of a larger initiative. Provide expert level technical advice on the planning and programming requirements for the design and construction of existing facilities’ repair and alteration projects. Apply expertise across engineering disciplines and perspective on technical issues and planning related to military and federal facilities. Advise and assist on the coordination of all engineering disciplines, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil, on complex programs and projects. Serve as engineering team lead in conducting Existing Conditions Surveys of existing facilities to compile lists of functional and code deficiencies. Assist in determining scope of work for Initial Operational Capability and Final Operational Capability projects. Conduct review and analysis of existing facilities’ design and construction and recommend appropriate project design processes. Review, adapt, and implement U.S. government guidance, policies, and standards for design and construction plans, providing highly technical professional advice to the government client. Demonstrate cross-discipline expertise on engineering policy, procedures, and capabilities to assist the client in determining direction of programs and projects. Support monthly project status reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in the industrial engineering field
Experience with design concepts, principles, techniques, and practices related to developing planning requirements for the design and construction of existing facilities’ repair and alteration projects
Experience with the coordination and management of mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering disciplines for architectural planning of complex projects
Experience in Industrial Hygiene, including assisting with asbestos, chemical, and lead base testing and determining if mitigation, capsulation, or abatement actions
Experience with Environmental reviews process.
Knowledge of design concepts, principles, techniques, and practices related to facilities sustainment, restoration, and modernization (FSRM), or with the civilian community, including urban and regional planning, campus, or facilities planning
Knowledge of engineering design, construction and use of land, structures, and buildings, including military organizations, equipment, and missions
Ability to advise the government client in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of multiple aspects of construction projects and communicate and collaborate with other architects, engineers, and stakeholders to convey highly technical information clearly
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Additional Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with working on military, municipal, federal, or state design projects
Experience with facilities planning
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
