Job Description
Key Role:
Responsible for cyber architecture of Extended Enterprise Environments (EEE) and shaping of cybersecurity capabilities companywide. Lead collaborative architecture and design efforts with environment owners and technical sector experts to provide an integrated security ecosystem to deter, detect, defend, and respond to security and risk issues. Conduct technical analysis of security and business problems, threats, incidents, investigations, workforce protection, and other security issues. Communicate and participate in response coordination and defensive actions for a variety of security disciplines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a globally converged technological security strategy. Drive the extended enterprise security roadmap, including planning the cybersecurity stack, selecting product security protection programs, and identifying go-to-market platform protection models. Lead evaluations, analyses, and troubleshooting related to system, network, application, and security architectures. Develop and draft security guidance, best practices, general corporate security standards, and reference architectures. Perform security reviews based on security stack philosophies and standards. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience building complex, multi-service IT architectures
8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and performing maintenance of security architectures in enterprise class organizations
5+ years of experience with network or identity security design, strategies, and security architectures
Experience with cyber technologies, cyber tool capabilities, and cyber operations teams, including Zero Trust and Data Protection strategies
Experience in networking or identity disciplines featuring cyber-based solution engineering or architectural oversight
Experience integrating complex applications into large, complicated environments
Knowledge of key cyber processes such as security incident handling, risk posture measurement, and change management
Knowledge of key cyber threats, including nation state actors, malware and ransomware, command and control infrastructures, mitigations, security services, and solutions from networking, endpoint, application, and data
Ability to lead discussions and reach consensus among various stakeholders to conduct strategic planning, define business objectives, prioritize goals, and mitigate risks
Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience working in the cyber industry in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience interfacing directly with senior leadership, providing executive summaries and narratives, and communicating technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
Experience using Microsoft Suite, including Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages and database use for reporting, including SQL language
Knowledge of the applications of artificial intelligence in security
Knowledge of design for software applications running on multiple platforms, and testing, coding, and debugging procedures
Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and DevSecOps practices
Knowledge of the interpretation of numeric data and statistical principles
Knowledge of multiple IT operational and security disciplines
Possession of analytical and problem-solving skills
Possession of excellent organizational direction, time management, prioritization, goal setting, leadership, motivation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
IT Architecture Certification, including TOGAF, CEA, ITIL, or Cloud Architecture Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
