Job Description
Key Role:
Perform non-standard engineering development and design work that requires considerable engineering expertise, creative ability, and independent judgment. Perform analysis to predict installed antenna and RF system performance, identify interference concerns, and ensure RF safety. Design RF systems to meet coverage, reliability, and availability requirements. Provide technical supervision to junior engineers and technical staff.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with RF propagation modeling, RF coverage planning, electromagnetic energy properties, or RF communication link requirements
Experience with RF communication systems and components, including analog and digital design, frequency synthesizers, amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, demodulators, filters, or antenna systems
Knowledge of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems, SATCOM, HF Systems, 5G networks, Software Defined Radios (SDR), Wi-Fi, cellular, tactical communications, filters, and antenna systems
Knowledge of RF or Lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
Knowledge of configuring and deploying IP networking equipment, including routers and switches
Knowledge of Spectrum Engineering
Ability to communicate effectively with mid to senior-level government leadership
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EE, or Physics
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Python, C++, Java, and SQL
Experience with project management
Master’s degree in Engineering, EE, or Physics
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
