Logistics Management Specialist

Key Role:

Serve as the Logistics Management Specialist for a multi-contractor team supporting a DoD client. Work with management and end users to establish and maintain a Supply and Logistics Management function in accordance with organization policies and procedures. Perform a variety of duties requiring knowledge and skill in applying logistics management principles, methods, and techniques to meet logistics requirements. Serve as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem. Establish and maintain supply levels, demands, and traceability of assets. Coordinate all materiel allocations with shop supervisors, configuration management, program office, and military support channels. Provide logistics handling, status, and accountability of Lowest Replaceable Units (LRU), end items, supplies, and spare parts. Oversee warehouse operations and procedures, inventory control, material handling, and tracking of all movement of gear and materials. Provide support for site operation, including supply and maintenance coordination with packing, crating, and transporting property, and maintain administrative control of all equipment. Load and unload shipments and transporting parts between different locations. Maintain responsibility for all required documentation for equipment management, turn-in, exchange, and ordering in accordance with organization policies and procedures. Support organization Configuration Management Board (CMB) and Configuration Change Board (CCB) processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD Logistics and Asset management

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with operations using Air Force and Army supply directives, processes, and procedures

  • Experience with Automated Identification Technology (AIT)

  • Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)

  • Experience with Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking activity and verification

  • Ability to formulate and maintain detailed records management systems, database management, and routine equipment reports

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
