The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable Department of Defense to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced Systems engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs.
As a Systems Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in Installs, configures, and maintains a virtualized Windows domain to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues, analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical systems.
Your knowledge of systems administration will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in Crytographic equipment, key management, software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, optical infrastructure networking, and SolarWinds, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
2+ years of experience with Windows Server OS 2019/2022, VMware, vSphere 8, Active Directory Domain Services, and Group Policy
2+ years of experience with Windows 10/11 administration
2+ years of experience managing Windows, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance
Experience with storage and active directory administration
Experience with applying STIG and other security settings
Experience monitoring and maintaining various technologies and systems
Experience with installing, configuring, optimizing and securing infrastructure components
Ability to follow and work schedules using Agile Methodologies
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with Windows Server OS 2019/2022, VMware, vSphere 8, Active Directory Domain Services, and Group Policy, Windows 10/11 administration, and managing Windows, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance, or Master's degree and 2+ years of experience with Windows Server OS 2019/2022, VMware, vSphere 8, Active Directory Domain Services, and Group Policy, Windows 10/11 administration, and managing Windows, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance
Nice If You Have:
Experience with SAFe Agile Methodologies
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53
Experience in YAML, Unix shell scripting, PowerShell, or similar command-line interfaces
Experience as a field technician
Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and storage processes
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
