Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Evaluate technology solutions and options through rapid prototyping, technical spike, analysis of alternates (AoA), and gap analysis. Work on a set of diverse applications and technologies including cloud technologies, integrations, DevSecOps and code automation. Design and code enterprise business applications that address business problems and enhance employee experience. Define standards and best practices to design and build modern, scalable, loosely coupled applications and products using API-first architecture approach and domain driven design. Identify, define and develop services and re-usable platform components using modern technology frameworks such as .NET, React and programming languages such as C#, Python or Java. Establish and lead system design practices and design review process. Coach and mentor engineers and software developers on coding software based on design principles. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering using enterprise software development languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Go 
  • 5+ years of experience in product development and product implementation for enterprise customers on cloud using cloud services 
  • 5+ years of experience in integrating products and services using as asynchronous events, messaging, and APIs
  • 5+ years of experience in building scalable and robust enterprise services and components  
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps automating build and deployment of applications using source code management and CI/CD tools 
  • 3+ years of experience in delivery products and projects using Agile Practices 
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with iPaaS, API Gateways such as MuleSoft, Boomi 
  • Experience with low-code/no-code and workflow automation tools such as Power Platform, Integrify, Zapier, or Workato 
  • Experience evaluating COTS products 
  • Experience in open-source frameworks such as Apache or React 
  • Experience in various productivity, design and delivery tools such as Lucid, Confluence, and JIRA 
  • Knowledge of Service Now application development 
  • Ability to give presentations to business and technical leaders
  • Possession of excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
