Hardware and Software Management Administrator

The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and hardware and software management knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)? We’re looking for a hardware and software management administrator to build and maintain the infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs and take advantage of cloud capabilities and services to help us maintain ISR capabilities. 

As a hardware and software management administrator on our team, you’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in the latest cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using cloud capabilities and services. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in computer programming and scripting languages while developing critical systems for the Air Force. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve and optimize for the next generation of ISR.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with engineering for systems hardware, integrated systems, or embedded devices

  • Knowledge of software configuration control tools

  • TS/SCI clearance 

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to obtain ​DoD 8140 (5870) IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ within 2 months of hire date

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with programming in C or C++

  • Experience in working with Git

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum project management

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages on Linux platforms

  • Experience with FPGA software and firmware development

  • Knowledge of bare-metal or RTOS-level development

  • Knowledge of applied RF communications theory

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
