Mechanical Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical components and systems

  • 8+ years of experience with the design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery in the development of systems, subsystems, and component-level technologies

  • 5+ years of experience with mechanical designs and concepts in CAD with SolidWorks

  • 5+ years of experience with Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Technical Data Packages

  • Experience supporting DoD programs

  • Ability to provide modification recommendations and troubleshooting for RF, EMI, and high voltage technical issues

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with RF systems and technologies

  • Experience with Directed Energy weapons and technologies

  • Experience in the integration of HPM or pulsed power systems into land, air, or shipboard applications

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
