The Opportunity:
As a senior Human System Integration Engineer, you will provide integrated and comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of requirements, concepts, and resources for human factors engineering, manpower, personnel, training, safety and occupational health, force protection and survivability, and habitability. You will ensure human performance is optimized to increase total system performance and minimize total system ownership costs. Our human systems integration professionals recognize the need to maximize overall human-machine performance through understanding of the human element, offering a total system approach to help clients meet the demands of the evolving workplace. The total system includes not just the prime mission equipment, but also the people who operate, maintain, and support the system, the training and training devices, and the operational and support infrastructure. Even “unmanned systems” require human components.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in human systems integrations
Experience in mechanical, structural, electrical, or electronic design
Ability to analyze designs through review of design artifacts
Ability to perform quantitative analyses
Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team consisting of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics and sustainment professionals to achieve program outcomes
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
Nice If You Have:
15+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems
Experience in mechanical, structural, electrical, or electronic design for shipbuilding and defense systems
Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes
Knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
Possession of excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
Master’s degree in an Engineering field
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
