ICS Range Engineer

Key Role:

Assist our clients to understand and create a more realistic OT training environments, ranging from device and networks that include IoT, SCADA, Industrial Control System (ICS), or traditional IT devices. Leverage current knowledge and expertise and use Free Open-Source Software (FOSS) tools and learn new technologies. After any support or build is complete, document the system and leverage strong communication ability to explain the “what-if” and importance of the environment and exercise. Comprehend policy management and physical and cybersecurity as a sysadmin. Conduct the integration of virtualization, modeling, and simulation with Python, MATLAB, and Simulink and recognize and implement analog and digital signals. Demonstrate a sense of teamwork and be goal driven to meet mission partner expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with virtualization with VMware product suite

  • Experience with troubleshooting networking and system issues

  • Knowledge of ICS and SCADA controllers and visualization software

  • Knowledge of ports, packets, and protocols in industrial controllers

  • Knowledge of basic networking, cisco-cli, and basic penetration testing, including Nmap, Wireshark, or Mimicats

  • Knowledge of Python

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Cyberspace operations, including Joint publications, doctrines, and policy implementations

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science   

  • Security+ CE Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with DCO

  • Experience with Unity3DGL with network implementations

  • Experience with offensive and penetration testing

  • Knowledge of the configuration of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX

  • Knowledge of system admin level domain controllers, routing, and traditional Windows and Linux services

  • Ability to advise on network security issues and enforce network security and vulnerability mitigation policies and procedures

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Cyber Defense field

  • GICSP, GRID, GCIP, or SANS Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
