Cloud Architect and Engineer

Key Role: 

Build a Cloud-based technical architecture that meets customer needs and takes advantage of Cloud capabilities. Develop Cloud-based solutions for some of our clients' toughest challenges. Serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that all infrastructure requirements are met. Develop and establish standard processes for onboarding, use, maintenance, and monitoring of Cloud services. Analyze the development of the architecture for secure, multi-tenant operations and integration of multi-cloud environments. Develop and deploy scripts to provision resources and apply security policies. Assist in the design, definition, development, and testing of Cloud solution components.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 8+ years of experience as an engineer or systems architect

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud architecture and hands-on engineering tasks

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and services within a managed service environment

  • Experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-class security, network, and systems management applications

  • Experience with performing data migration from on-premises environments into cloud environment

  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Azure or GCP

  • Experience with the Agile framework

  • Experience working in a SCRUM environment

  • AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
