The Opportunity:
As a senior Android software engineer, you know how to create and maintain all parts of the Android development lifecycle. You use your expertise to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. We’re looking for a seasoned Android engineer like you to develop technology for our clients’ most important mission-forward challenges.
As a senior Android software engineer at Booz Allen, you will be contributing to a cross-platform Android and iOS app written in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) that involves sensors, wearables, embedded AI, and mesh networking. Using the latest tools and technology, you’ll guide the writing, testing, and editing of code in support of the team’s overall results. You’ll share your skills as you develop and reverse engineer software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You’ll partner with other stakeholders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity specialists to ensure that the software you’re creating is secure.

You Have:
8+ years of experience developing Android applications, including Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and the Android development ecosystem
Experience developing Android user interfaces with Jetpack Compose
Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
Experience working with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
Experience mentoring and supervising employees within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Knowledge of MVVM design patterns
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
