DevOps Engineer

Key Role:

Lead and support efforts that will help the mission of the client develop and maintain information technologies that support specific scientific and business analyses associated with its regulatory and research mission. Utilize a suite of information technologies collectively referred to as “Advanced Information Retrieval Research System,” or “AIRRS”. Leverage expertise in NoSQL database development and IT systems administration DevSecOps, and working in an Agile environment. Apply expertise in taking technical requirements and decomposing them into modules. Support all the project infrastructure, which includes a swarmed docker microservice architecture as well as several databases and document repositories. Work with the front end using Angular, Python, and Java. Work with the DevOps infrastructure using both shared services furnished by the client as well as a cluster of -nix servers across four progressive environments.  Support code deployments and pipeline development, configuration management, infrastructure optimization, and solution architecting, as needed.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining CI/CD Pipeline for Docker Build and Deployment on premier or cloud
  • Experience with Containers or Orchestration, GIT, Microservices, and lynx
  • Experience deploying SpringBoot RestFul API backend applications and node.js front end applications
  • Experience in Jenkins for Continuous integration for end-to-end automation
  • Knowledge of Java
  • Ability to maintain configurations and update Docker Swarm cluster for Docker Container Management
  • Ability to build and deploy batch processing microservices, and define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps Operation
  • Ability to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project, and configure and manage containerized NoSQL databases such as MarkLogic
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Jenkins, Nginx, Firewall or networking, NoSQL, or Python
  • Ability to implement additional as-needed CI/CD tools
  • Ability to strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
