Job Description
Key Role:
Employ subject matter expertise to support communication and information planning at a Joint Combatant Command headquarters. Support a Public Affairs Office to meet Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Command communication goals and objectives. Develop, coordinate, and manage communication products and activities in support of command objectives. Integrate communication strategy guidance into command planning documents and processes. Support the command’s information synchronization process by maximizing visibility and enabling timely decision-making on information activities in the information environment, including key leader engagements, public affairs activities, and information operations. Identify and prioritize opportunities for strategic messaging, while also seeking opportunities to coordinate messaging with treaty allies, partners, other Combatant Commands, and other government agencies, as required. Prepare and present briefings and written products to staff planners and senior leaders. Complete individual projects with minimal supervision and work collaboratively in team setting. Advise the client on the execution of public affairs strategies, including media facilitation and publication of digital content on the command's digital media platforms. Plan and deliver engagement activities as outlined in command communication campaign plans. Work across command and component staff to synchronize communication efforts for maximum effect and ensure consistency in public messaging. Facilitate and manage creation of data on information activities using command and DoD systems of record.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, strategic communication, public affairs, or information operations in the DoD, Joint Publications, and Joint Planning Process
- 3+ years of experience working with communication campaign planning goals, objectives, key performance indicators, and measures of performance and effectiveness
- Experience with the management of a communication synchronization process, and development of communication strategies and strategic messaging products
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and partners to develop strategy and execute content development
- Experience using Microsoft Office software and SharePoint collaborative tools
- Experience with basic data generation and management, visualization methods and techniques, and storyboarding and storytelling
- Ability to develop staff estimates, and collaborate with stakeholders, including program leadership, senior leadership, and subordinate command peers
- Ability to work and collaborate with key stakeholders, including program leadership and senior military and civilian leaders
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component, or Theater Special Operations Command headquarters
- Experience using the Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) tool and data visualization systems
- Experience with data analytics, target audience analysis, or sentiment analysis of digital media
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Master's degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
