We’re looking for a system administrator with expertise and background in several technologies providing infrastructure and application high availability operations in a cyber secure environment to provide mission support capabilities to U.S. military warfighters.
As a system administrator on our team, you’ll be part of an operations team that works to ensure the infrastructure and application is functional and available while continually looking for ways to make the infrastructure more resilient and highly performant by leveraging the latest technologies and implementing better operations practices.
You’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical environment. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning, as well as in interactions with other supporting government technology teams.

You Have:
3+ years of experience supporting a high availability infrastructure as a Windows or Linux Server Admin
3+ years of experience with administration and support of production with Microsoft SQL Server and Always On Availability Group databases, including performance tuning, restores, recovery, and storage optimization
Experience with automating, installing, configuring, administrating, patching, and security hardening industry leading and recognized COTS and open-source applications, including operating systems
Experience with multiple networking setups, including cabling, switching, and routing
Knowledge of Tanzu TKGm, F5 Administration, or vSphere
Ability to support on-call rotation schedule for a 24/7 production system
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience administering government systems
Experience with OpenID Connect
Knowledge of Windows administration and the tools used to administer updates and software inventory
Knowledge of networking configuration
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent documentation skills to capture network architectures and proposed solution architectures

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
