The Opportunity:

We are looking for a seasoned healthcare systems IT consultant with a passion for healthcare, to help drive electronic health record (EHR) system modernization for Veterans, and with excitement to evolve healthcare delivery at the Department of Veterans Affairs. You'll apply broad understanding of the principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, health professions education, public health, and care, including informatics, clinical informatics, or public health informatics. You'll also able to apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts

You will also contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. You'll work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Additionally, you will operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and you may mentor or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies. This position is a hybrid role with Booz Allen. The candidate is expected to work onsite at a Booz Allen or client facility 20-50% of the time, as needed.

You Have:

  • Knowledge of complex systems

  • Knowledge of project management principles

  • Ability to identify project risks

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, or Engineering and 5+ years of experience with Health IT, or 13+ years of relevant experience with Health IT in lieu of degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with electronic health records

  • Experience with Veterans Affairs

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
