As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to lead the software acquisition of software to reduce complexity, improve automation, and reduce training requirements for signal soldier tasks. Your customer will trust you to not only oversee the software architecture for the solution but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Provide guidance and direction to the subject working group leads to ensure synchronization and technical focus.
  • Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met.
  • Coordinate technology insertion efforts.
  • Analyze industry trends and emerging technology applications to the program baseline.
  • Interface regularly with industry partners to ensure the prime contractor is providing the most advanced technology to the Warfighter.
  • Coordinate with other programs, internal and external, to ensure interoperability with the product baselines.
  • Maintain responsibility for the engineering design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the product lines.
  • Support technical tasks in the integration of client products, engineering and technical documentation, and assistance in the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software and hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise at fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural and interoperability support, and quality engineering.

You Have:

  • Experience with using MBSE tools, including MagicDraw, DOORS, or Cameo
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development process
  • Experience with developing briefings and communication products and explaining complicated systems simply
  • Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Knowledge of digital engineering models, including DoDAF and UAF
  • Ability to generate overarching execution plans, including Integrated Support Plan (ISP) and Support Engineering Plan (SEP)
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of current and future force tactical and strategic military communications networks, including the architecture, such as Microservices architecture and protocols, including GraphQL or REST, security, network management, and the physics underlying these systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
