Research Analyst

Key Role:

Apply expert understanding of public health disciplines to design, develop, and implement programs and policies. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. This position is a hybrid role with Booz Allen. The candidate is expected to work onsite at a Booz Allen or client facility 20-50% of the time, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining continuous learning through academic literature, clinical guidelines, and conferences
  • Experience developing SOP task tracker documentation using DevOps for Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of various medical coding systems such as ICD-10, ICD-9, LOINC, RxNorm, SNOMED-CT, CPT, or HCPCS for EMR systems
  • Ability to utilize cloud-based big data and analytics platforms, including Databricks to conduct data validation and quality assurance
  • Ability to conduct thorough reviews of datasets to ensure data privacy and protection
  • Ability to review preliminary reports to identify and address data validation issues
  • Ability to advise data architects on developing data warehouses for data visualization
  • Ability to act as a liaison for data collection activities between hospitals and recruiters
  • Ability to deliver presentations to IT and non-medical team members on data origination
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL programming and cloud-based platforms
  • Experience maintaining data privacy and adhering to regulatory standards
  • Experience collaborating with data programmers and architects
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI methodologies
  • Ability to address implicit biases in data science and healthcare
  • Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
