System Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role: 

Provide senior technical guidance and leadership to engineering, analysis, and development teams in formulating security requirements, advising on viability of alternative approaches, and conducting and evaluating feasibility studies. Complete the integration of security requirements, design, risk mitigation and technology of complex systems. Provide guidance and support to ensure seamless incorporation of new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Guide and participate in development of technical security documentation and adhere to USCYBERCOM Enterprise Architecture plans and guidance related to certification and accreditation of agency systems. Estimate resources for security systems engineering tasks and assist in recommending schedule and budget information.

Basic Qualifications:   

  • 4+ years of experience with performing Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions or systems security for USCYBERCOM or IC projects and offices

  • 2+ years of experience with leading systems engineering teams and estimating resources for systems engineering tasks

  • Ability to collaborate across clients, stakeholders, and technical delivery staff

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • HS diploma or GED and 16+ years of experience with systems security engineering on programs that encompass systems security architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations, Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with systems security engineering on programs that encompass systems security architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations, or Master's degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems field and 4+ years of experience with systems security engineering on programs that encompass systems security architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations

  • DoD 8570 compliant IAM Category, Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:   

  • Experience with projects leveraging FOSS software products

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker or Kubernetes

  • Experience with working in Agile and Scrum teams

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
