Job Description
Key Role:
Provide on-site administrative and general support for a Component Command safety program. Maintain responsibility for recommending and supporting implementation of Command ground safety policies in addition to managing the day-to-day functioning of the program. Manage the safety program including safety inspections of facilities and equipment, operational safety assessment, and investigation, reporting, and corrective action recommendations on safety-related incidents, accidents, and near misses. Provide safety training to personnel as required and ensure the Command complies with all relevant safety-related regulations, standards, and Marine Corps policies, including explosive-related policies and regulations. Participate in Pre-Deployment Site Surveys (PDSS) and the conduct of risk assessments and safety inspections for all explosive-related activities and storage areas.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with program management and management systems
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in safety program management, or 8+ years of experience in safety program management in lieu of a degree
- Completion of Basics of Naval Explosives Hazard Control course Navy and Marine Corps Ammo-18
- Completion of Naval Explosives Safety Managers and Supervisors Orientation course Navy and Marine Corps Ammo-49
- Completion of a fundamental ground safety course from a government agency
- Completion of a ground mishap investigation course from a government agency
Additional Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working with the Department of Defense
- 1+ years of experience in program management
- Experience at the Component or Headquarters level of a military Service organization
- Ability to be a self-motivated individual who can manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
