EO/IR Physicist, Senior
Key Role:
Leverage physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S&T client challenges. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience using modeling and simulation tools to predict EO/IR sensor performance in varying environmental conditions
Knowledge of multiple computer-based simulation tools used in the EO/IR community
Ability to identify and define key first-principles attributes to characterize EO/IR sensors and effects at various fidelities
Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team
Ability to read and understand software in multiple programming languages
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in STEM field
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of foreign and domestic EO/IR sensors
Ability to identify and correct software issues in multiple programming languages
TS/SCI clearance
PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
