Job Description
Key Role:
Support program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the development of new program concepts, management of a diverse active project portfolio, and transition of cutting-edge research to end-users. Work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment as a scientific and technical advisor with expertise in materials science, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, and bioelectronics. Leverage a breadth of expertise to assess technologies across a broad range of applications and work with world-class scientists to drive research efforts forward for the development of advanced biological technologies to support the client’s operations and to improve readiness of our warfighters. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies to support the organization’s goals, create technical reports, present findings, track technological progress, analyze technology program plans, and perform other related tasks as required by the client. Assist with the preparation of briefing materials for government R&D efforts and deliver high-quality work products to support projects.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with bioinformatics, bioinspired materials advanced materials science, or additive manufacturing projects
Experience authoring technical papers and reports
Ability to explore scientific literature for emerging technologies and innovation
Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to broad audiences
Secret clearance
Doctorate degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working with DoD programs or technical projects and program management
Experience with optimization of bioinformatics techniques and hands
Experience researching
Ability to review and assess proposed materials related concepts for scientific technical merit
Possession of excellent scientific writing skills
Top Secret clearance
Doctorate degree in Bioinformatics, Advanced Materials Science, or Bioinspired Materials Development
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
