Systems Engineer, Senior

As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills in methodologies, tools, design, and knowledge of computer systems to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You’ll apply your knowledge in systems design with special emphasis on network and cybersecurity. Your knowledge of IPv6, network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, testing, and validation best practices will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects and make an impact on national security missions. Grow your career with us as we help support the DoD fulfill its mission. You Have: 

• 7+ years of experience with architecting and designing complex DoD network systems and leading the testing and deployment of DoD systems or solutions

• Experience with SIPR, DODIN, NIPR, or DISN

• Knowledge of Satellite Communications

• Knowledge of DoDI 5000.02 acquisition life cycle and systems engineering requirements

• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)

• Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently

• Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with DoD networks

• Experience with DoD satellite communications and radio systems

• Experience with network design and enterprise security

• Knowledge of Satellite Communications

• Knowledge of IP network technologies

• Possession of excellent time management and analytical skills

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
