Digital Health Innovation Advisor

The Opportunity:

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical specialist to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.

 

You'll serve as a Digital Health Innovation Advisor helping clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the Agency, and being readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in project management or research management

  • Experience with clinical research with patient populations

  • Experience in interacting and communicating with senior-level executives

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

  • Knowledge of human subjects protections and ethical concerns 

  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment 

  • Public Trust

  • Doctorate degree in psychology, biology, public health, neuroscience, integrative health, physiology, or medicine

 

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with challenges, current trends, and measurement methodologies in pain, health behavior, or mental health realms 

  • Experience in planning and implementation of technology transition from R&D to market or operational environments 

  • Experience evaluating research project proposals for scientific merit, innovation, and potential impact 

  • Experience working with government extramural R&D funding or with an ARPA

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for healthcare technology development 

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and related treatment principles 

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
