Rubrik Backup Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Backup Systems Engineer with experience in testing, managing, and engineering solutions for data protection with Rubrik in Windows Server-based enterprise environments.  The ideal candidate will be an analytical problem solver who is comfortable with complex technical challenges in both client and server environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment and is looked to as a "go-to" resource for troubleshooting and optimization.

You'll help develop and document best practice data protection strategies for mission facing workloads using Rubrik Data Protection tools and develop installation procedures to meet government standards for documentation. You will provide tier 4 support to the operational network as needed. You'll work with other engineers and solution owners to identify and implement the best data protection strategy for the workload.

You Have: 

• 5+ years of experience developing solutions with, and implementing commercial backup solutions like Rubrik, Commvault, Veeam or Backup Exec

• 2+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development

• 1+ years of experience engineering or implementing backup solutions with Rubrik

• Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed teams

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification within 30 days of hire date

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience building systems using VMware or Hyper-V

• Possession of excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
