The Opportunity:
As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, you’re in the middle of the action, responding to and mitigating threats in real time. You’re the first line of cyber defense for your organization, and they look to you for guidance on best practices and security measures. We need a Tier 1 SOC analyst like you to help us secure critical infrastructure from the constant onslaught of cyber attacks for the DoD.
As an SOC Analyst on our team, you’ll develop network defense skills as you learn to monitor, detect, and analyze threats by interacting directly with affected users and state-of-the-art tools. When an incident is detected, you’ll work with the team to collect data to help incident response understand and mitigate the threat. You’ll analyze alerts to figure out just how many systems are affected and initiate recovery efforts. You’ll contribute to assessments and learn how to analyze patterns to understand attackers’ goals to stop them from succeeding. This is a great opportunity to hone your cybersecurity skills and learn more about threat assessment and incident response.
What You’ll Work On:
Respond to SOC calls or tickets.
Interpret alerts from monitoring or defense tools.
Contribute to reports and dashboards development.
Build custom queries.
Assist with basic incident response.

You Have:
Experience working with and configuring computers and networks
Knowledge of SOC activities and basic cyber and IA concepts
Ability to work on a team
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience performing cyber activities in a professional environment
Knowledge of DoD cyber operations and networks
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IA, or Cyber field
DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level II Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
