5G Test and Deployment Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a senior technical advisor to architects, designers, engineers, customers and management on all aspects of 5G or FutureG wireless communications. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. Apply advanced skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience developing 5G wireless technologies, network infrastructure, and protocols to enhance mobile communication

• Experience optimizing 5G networks to ensure high-speed connectivity and low-latency performance

• Experience developing and implementing test plans and procedures for 5G technologies to ensure the quality and reliability of products

• Experience creating test reports, procedures, and specifications for future reference

• Experience using 5G and network test equipment from manufacturers such as Viavi Solution, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, and Spirent and tools such as Wireshark for protocol analysis

• Knowledge of performance testing and analysis to optimize 5G network performance

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate 5G solutions

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in EE or CS

• CCNA or 5G Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders

• Experience participating in design reviews and providing recommendations for improvements

• Knowledge of IoT architecture and data analytics

• Knowledge of various wireless vendors and technologies, network protocols, and spectrum management, including low, mid, and high bands

• Ability to diagnose complex issues in distributed network environments

• Secret clearance

• Master's degree in EE

• Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
