Program Management Office Lead

Key Role: 

Manage the daily operation of the program management office of a large cybersecurity program using strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Oversee PMO staff, deliverables, and work products. Support Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager by driving on-time execution of work activities and ensuring delivery of high-quality products. Apply project management techniques to manage resources, schedule, and risk. Determine readiness for leadership engagement and review of PMO deliverables and work products. Understand full program scope and manage the details necessary to maintain delivery excellence. Ensures project management standards across the entire program. Monitor performance metrics and recommend adjustments to PMO operations accordingly. This position is located in Mclean, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience supporting program or project management operations, including Cybersecurity within a federal or large-scale organizational setting
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, financial reconciliation, and Cybersecurity service delivery
  • Knowledge of vendor management to ensure that vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements are aligned
  • Ability to assist with tracking program performance, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure alignment with government objectives
  • Ability to prepare briefings, reports, and status updates for internal leadership and government stakeholders, and formulate and implement operational policies, procedures, and priorities to meet organizational and contractual objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, government stakeholders, team members, and technical leads to identify and resolve operational challenges, and assist the Program Manager in leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team supporting Government operations
  • Ability to plan, direct, and oversee day-to-day program activities, ensuring smooth execution of contract requirements, including Contract Management, Financial Management, Recruiting and Staffing, Quality Assurance, Deliverables Management, PMO Operations, and Contract Compliance
  • Ability to support the integration of General Administration, Business and Financial Management, and Strategic Planning functions across all functional program areas, and maintain awareness of program risks, cost controls, and resource allocation strategies
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph 
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, systems, business, or scientific field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Defense, Intelligence, or Federal Civilian agency environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, including promptly responding to client requests and needs 
  • Knowledge of DoD or IC program management processes, policies, and reporting requirements and Cybersecurity operations programmatic support
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation development
  • Master’s degree in a technical, business, or management-related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level III certification in Program Management

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
