As a data analytics professional, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions in a defense-focused environment supporting enterprise operations, logistics, and mission readiness. 

As a data architect, you’ll use your technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for secure, cloud-based platforms, enterprise data integration frameworks, and scalable analytics environments supporting operational, supply chain, and lifecycle management systems. You’ll resolve data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing requirements, defining scalable data models, and providing recommendations on data structures, storage strategies, and integration approaches. 

In this role, you’ll apply best practices and tools such as SQL, cloud-native database technologies, Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, and modern data integration frameworks to design data models, database architectures, and enterprise data systems that enable analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency. You’ll assist in the design, development, and testing of cloud-based data solutions while serving as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams to ensure requirements are met and secure, scalable, and performant solutions are delivered.

You have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data management

  • Experience in data modeling, database design, and data integration

  • Experience in database systems, such as SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud 

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and compliance standards

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable data systems

  • Knowledge of ETL tools and processes, such as Informatica, Talend, or Alteryx

  • Secret clearance  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science

Nice if you have: 

  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as Jira or Trello

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or R, for data manipulation and automation 

  • Top Secret clearance 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science

  • Data architecture or cloud platforms, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Certified Data Engineer Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
