The Opportunity: 

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Navy and Marine Corp to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop and maintain the exact network the Navy and Marine Corp needs. 

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills in network design and architecture, network administration alongside overall system architecture and Aircraft knowledge to help support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll develop program wide infrastructure, maintain existing networks, and analyze existing systems and network for future upgrades and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.  

You’ll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, network design and architecture, and system architecture as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD deploy new capabilities for a mission critical platform.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with architecting and designing complex DoD network systems
  • Experience with Cisco network switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Experience with VMware ESXi and maintaining a virtualized environment
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • IAT Level II certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with working in classified spaces to implement network solutions
  • Experience with the Navy ATO process
  • Knowledge of optimizing system operations and resource utilization
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
