Information Security Analyst

The Opportunity:

As an Information Security Analyst on our team, you’ll work with various systems to monitor security control compliance, scan for vulnerabilities, and discover their cyber risks to maintain operational capabilities. You should understand applicable cybersecurity plans and policies. You will receive technical, environmental, and operational requirements from subject matter experts and engineers to assess the entire threat landscape in which that system operates. Your team will provide guidance for each assigned task through a plan of action with presentations, whitepapers, and milestones. This is your opportunity to take an active role in information security while growing your cybersecurity skills required to support a government DoD program. You Have:

  • Experience with Information Technology, Information Security, or Cybersecurity
  • Experience with NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Knowledge of how to review and identify software or hardware vulnerabilities
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience with ACAS, ESS or HBSS, and eMASS
  • Experience reporting IT Security events or incidents
  • Experience conducting information security continuous monitoring activities
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures and virtualization
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Secret clearance
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification - IAM Level I, including Security+ CE, CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Network+ CE, or HCISPP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
