Health System Strategist

The Challenge:

You find satisfaction in showing your client the opportunities to build effective strategies, improve processes, gain stakeholder buy-in, and leverage innovations. We’re looking for you: a management consultant who can make things better in Military Health.

This is an opportunity to impact large scale organizational growth through the development of strategies and plans that drive faster adoption and ensure organizational business objectives are achieved. This position will allow you to work with a client’s organization to help solve challenges and build better business processes. As a member of our project team, you’ll conduct research and data analysis for consulting projects as we lead the development of strategies and strategy management infrastructures. Like to see plans in action? You’ll build a trusted relationship with your client as your team identifies and anticipates their needs and proposes solutions. As you solve problems, you’ll look for more areas of improvement and continue transforming your client’s organization. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional environment, including leading large teams or projects in change management and organizational design

  • Experience with developing governance structures, performance measures, reporting mechanisms, and conducting environmental scans

  • Experience in producing client-ready products, optimizing business performance, managing enterprise-level projects, and writing comprehensive strategic plans

  • Experience in applying quantitative data and analysis to inform and improve the effectiveness of internal organizational systems, processes, workforces, or structures

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including developing and manipulating Excel spreadsheets and creating comprehensive PowerPoint products

  • Ability to build expertise in key capability areas, mentoring staff and managing direct reports in those areas

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in the healthcare sector, including clinical experience or a background in healthcare delivery        

  • Experience with leading transformation projects in a DoD setting

  • Knowledge of the military health system, including DHA

  • Possession of excellent attention to detail and provision of quality assurance while demonstrating the ability to think autonomously, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • MA or MS degree 

  • Change Management Professional, Program Management, or Process Improvement Certification
