Assistant Editor

Key Role:

Design, develop, produce and consult on a variety of internal and external communications materials and media. Apply specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance; review or guide activities of junior employees. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience writing and editing for periodicals, mainly newspapers or magazines

  • Experience writing and editing for digital and social media content

  • Knowledge of AP style and journalism

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of international and military policy

  • Knowledge of Indo-Pacific regional cultures and issues

  • Ability to write explanatory and narrative articles
