The Challenge:

In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open up new opportunities. As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.
This role will work closely with senior level executive customers and action officers to understand their questions and dig into their data-rich environment to discover the missing pieces in the information puzzle. The data scientist performs validation, analytics, and develops solutions through automation, optimizing performance with minimal human involvement. Specifically, using advance mathematics, the Data Scientist role will connect data and user experience to assist decision makers gain decision space, understand capability/capacity of critical resources, as well as drive analysis toward predictive analytics.
As a data scientist, this role focuses specifically on the development and maintenance of scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis. The best athlete candidate for this position will be able to apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise and has full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. This candidate is able to work without considerable direction and may mentor or supervise other team members. Work on a multi-functional team made up of analysts, developers, data scientist, and a team lead that collaborates in support of a specific mission. This position may require shift work in the event of a contingency operation, such as a natural disaster, where days are split into 8-10 hour shifts supporting 24/7 operations and additional support is brought in to help the team.
You Have:
5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment
2+ years of experience with data science or analytics
Experience with BI Dashboard tools, including Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI
Experience with building robust analytical models, including forecasts, cost models, and historical trend analyses
Experience with SQL, and Python or R
Ability to work shift work as needed for contingency operations supporting 24/7 operations
TS/SCI Clearance
HS Diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Qlik dashboarding, development functions, mashups, and web technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, or Enignma.js
Experience using DataBricks to perform data transformations or modeling and using Cloud Native Services or tools
Experience with CCM and DoD
Experience with cloud technology supporting scalable data solutions
Knowledge of analytical and data challenges across the J-Codes
Ability to comprehend stakeholder needs effectively, communicate development plans, and track progress milestones
Possession of excellent critical thinking skills, including assessing numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings, and quantitative skills, including statistical analysis, process design, and data management
Qlik Data Architect, Qlik Data Analyst, or QlikView Developer Certification
Clearance:
